Signs of spring at the Sawmill

As I mentioned in yesterdays Wednesday Walk post I have bene on the lookout for signs of spring around the area and on Tuesday I went to check out the Acushnet Sawmill trails again and indeed I did see some signs of spring and that's what I will share in this post this morning

Now the signs of spring images are not as good as I would have hoped for, so instead I am starting with this image from yesterday of the water flowing over one of the rocks

Now it is of course not a sign of spring but I spot I always check here in Spring, as a sign says these rocks and gentle flowing area was added a few years back to assign the herring in heading up the stream by leaping over the rocks in this part, and I hope on one of my visits there to see them heading up stream, so I was looking here for signs of spring.

As I was crossing the road from the car park it still looked pretty dry, but I wandered around thinking some one mother nature give me a boost and give me some signs, and sure enough I did find some, firstly these wild yellow flowers

and then these red buds opening up on some of the trees, i was such a happy camper seeign the signs of spring i musty say, in fact I could say so much so I clearly wasn't focused as well as I should have been on the process of taking these photos
