Sublime and Beautiful Sunday
Before getting into this post Want to wish anyone in the path of Hurricane Henri all the best and to stay safe, the outer bands of it and touching us now, some wind and heavy rain but nothing to bad yet, it looks like it will swing to the west of us but wont be as bad as it could have been for us, but still predicting heavy rain, wind and of course with that power outages along its path.
They say the power outages may be a multiple day thing so if I go quiet for a couple of days that could be why, but fingers crossed we will be lucky
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by
.
As you know I often go out in the early morning to catch the sunrise, but sometimes I get to where I want to try for shots a little early, and its still pretty dark and I have some time to fill till the sun starts to rise and I wonder about looking for shots that may work in the semi darkness at that time, and this post is a few shots from such an outing.
I went to the Port to get some shots, and while waiting for the light to get better I snapped a few shots.
Starting with this shot Looking down between a couple of the docks, a couple of police boats in shot, and a touch of red in the sky, which Io be honest I barely noticed when taking this shot

Now the rest of these shots and perhaps the first one, some may not see as beautiful being dark and perhaps moody, but I do find the early morning even before the sunrise can be beautiful
Next Up we have the Fishermans memorial statue, which I have shared shots of in better light, but I do like this one as well witht he lights in the background.

Now this is where the more sublime part of this post comes into play, its just looking down a ramp to one of the piers, but I liked how the ramp and the pier made a leading line/vanishing point into this image.
Now I know many may think why would you take a photo of that, and I know that because as I was taking this photo a passerby said the exact thing to me, and how did I answer you may wonder.
Simply I said, because it caught my eye, it may not appeal to everyone but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and smiles.

I then crossed across the road into the downtown part of the city with the cobblestone streets to get a couple of shots, I literally only took two shots as looking at them on the screen of my camera I wasn't that impressed with them, but when I saw them on my computer I liked them and edited them for this post.
A question for the other photographers, do you also sometimes look at a shot on the camera screen and think either WOW thats good, and then see it on the computer and then think what the heck,
Or Look at a shot on the screen and think, this is terrible only to find you like it on the computer?
Thats why I never delete photos off the camera, until I have imported them all to my PC

And looking the other direction on the street, I love the cobblestone streets down there, I generally tend to edit them into Mono, but with these two I stuck with color
