Hi, Steemit!!!
Monks from the Abbey of Set Fon (diocese of Moulin, France), called in 1890, to the Holy Land to create a monastery of contemplative life, came to Latrun to build the abode of trappists. In fertile areas, monks began to grow olive trees, grapes, grains and vegetables, and on stony areas - pine and cypress trees. Monks from different countries and different nationalities form a community that is the prototype of a small "Society of Nations", where brotherly philanthropy unites hearts. For the period of being in the monastery, the monks give a vow of silence.
Masses are held every Saturday at 11:30 in French, and at 15: 45 in Russian. Everyone can join.
