Hi Friends. Here's my new charcoal drawing depicting an African woman who has tribal marks on face. Women were also given tribal marks as a form of beautification and to show they are natives of a particular tribe. In some cases, the face, arm or chest of people were scarified as part of native rituals they believed helped in keeping off evil spirits. These practices are still quite common in some native parts of Africa. I used charcoal for this drawing and I also worked on not erasing throughout the process. I hope you love it.
