Today is not going to be a particularly interesting day as far as exercise goes.
Why not? Well, mostly because I just went to work. I went to bed early to try and get sleep so that I would be well rested at work.
That's didn't work very well because I woke up at 230am and couldn't get back to sleep. Jet lag sucks.
After that I woke my son up at 700am because he's working with me today in the pharmacy. He was a bit of a sleepyhead but he got up.
My wife felt poorly so she called in sick. I figured she was healthy enough to walk the dog so I didn't go for a walk with him today. Fewer steps for sure but made for an easier day :)
Then it was off to work. Ugh. But sometimes I have to do what I have to do.
After almost three months off work it was hard to get back in the groove. I remembered exactly why I wanted to retire. Still, knowing that even if I was fired it would make little to no difference I just did my best and got through the day.
My wife messaged me in the middle of the day and asked if I wanted to do a dinner out with family and friends. Our friend Nina got her citizenship papers and is heading into the USA for a while ... We figured it was a good time to visit before she left.
We went to a nice Greek restaurant and spent way too much money on food but honestly, we really enjoyed everything.
So, how did I get my steps today? I walked around the pharmacy a lot. Did I walk the dog? Nope. Did I walk around the park? Nope. Did I follow my diet? Nope. But I did get my 5k steps, I did enjoy my dinner with family and I did make a bit of money at work.
Overall not a bad day.
