Another day when I had to work. However, I didn't have to work until late morning so I had some time in the morning to lounge around.
What is lounging around? Making the bed, doing stretches, taking out the recycling, reading my Bible, writing on HIVE and of course walking the dog.
Although as you can see he was pretty sleepy in the morning so I just sat beside him for a while as I played Clash Royale.
As for the morning itself?
Gray.
So dreary that even seeing the trees against the sky as a background came out dreary.
But the dog got his walk, I got to work and overall it wasn't a bad time ... Although my boss got caught up on a conference call which meant he was unavailable for over half my shift.
Anyways, when I got home it was still a little gray but at least it was getting better.
My son and I went to walk the dog in the evening but we had a slight change in plans. Yes the dog got a short walk but he is so slow sniffing everything we brought him back home and had a walk by ourselves.
I wanted to talk to my son as he was feeling this is a special time in his life. He finished his 4th and final year of schooling to be an electrician in just one short week. He writes his exam to become a Journeyman electrician a week after that.
He likened it to when he graduated from High School. When he graduated high school he felt like an adult. But an adult with zero experience and without direction.
Now? He has a path, a career, a trade, a girlfriend who he is considering a life with, money in the bank, a nice car and he feels like this is a "turning point" in his life.
I had to agree. Sure he was considered an adult at 19 when he left high school. He was capable then but still very inexperienced.
Now? Personally I'd call him a man. He is strong, capable, and in week he will have trade credentials. Very proud of him.
And along the walk?
Yes it was still gray and a little chilly with the feel of "rain" .
But I still got a nice picture of the fountain in mill lake park.
I still got to see the dogwood trees in bloom (they are the provincial flower of British Columbia)
And I still got to hear and see the Red Winged Blackbird who crossed our path along the walk.
Plus I was able to walk full speed and get more cardio, rather than with the dog where it takes forever.
And that was my path to 9K steps today.
Thanks for dropping by.
