The day started with breakfast at the hotel. I think I was spoiled by the breakfast spread at the Marriott in Indonesia and the Philippines. This one didn't feel nearly as luxury. Then again what was there was both filling and tasty and better suited to a Canadian taste :)
Overall a good breakfast.
As for the ambiance? It was quite good and quite busy.
Then it was time to walk to the train to explore for the day.
Where did we go? A nearby town of craw Crawley. Not exactly in the tourist circuit but overall that's just fine by me.
Got to see the mall, row houses, old buildings and a memorial garden.
The buildings here were all brick unlike the wood buildings we have in Canada.
I wanted to see the old church but my wife refused to enter because it had a graveyard on the grounds.
I wanted to visit the museum but unfortunately it has limited days that it was open.
We meandered around the town and then the rain started. Kind of iconic. Can't come to the UK without experiencing rain. Right?
Best part of the rain?
It allowed me to go back to the hotel without complaint from my wife
We did a dash through the raindrops and got back to the train. Wait time 2 minutes. Hooray.
At the hotel? Nap time. Sure it was 2pm but Canadian? Bedtime so we had a nap before heading to the airport. Another 15 minute walk and 2 minutes before we arrived it started pouring rain. Luckily we found cover just in time. Got in the airport, got through security, and found a nice lounge to wait in :)
Posting early because 16k steps are enough and the rest of my steps will just be walking around the airport
Thanks for dropping by :)
Until tomorrow in Spain
