I guess today's steps started at 2am. The flight to Alicante was delayed due to mechanical problems. So a late night arrival turned into a super late night.
Catching the bus in an unknown city. To an unknown destination without knowing the language to walk to a hotel at 240am... I must be nuts.
The streets were deserted but that meant no traffic for the bus and we made good time.
At the bus station we had a short walk to the hotel.
The hotel doors were locked and that was a little distressing but we rang the boxer and someone came soon enough.
I can honestly say I was very very happy to find a nice bed to sleep in for the night when we got to our room.
The welcome gift was chocolate and wine. Normally a nice pair but I will admit I was too sleepy to care.
Still it is worth a picture.
Later after some sleep time for a picture from the window.
A beautiful day for a walk in alicante. But we needed to do an errand first. I brought a travel adapter but it wouldn't fit the socket so our phones were on bad shape charge wise.
We headed to the nearest store likely to have a proper charger
Down the narrow streets
Until I found the place Google showed me
I had never heard of Domchi but it has what we needed which was a huge plus. We them headed back to the hotel to charge up our phones for the next adventure and on the way back...
We found a public market with fresh fruits and vegetables.
At first my eye was only looking at the fruits and got stuck for too long just looking at the first one.
Eventually I convinced her to win the market and as we walked through we saw lots of tasty stuff. We also marveled at the size of the Bell peppers we saw.
Eventually we decided to buy a lot of cherries and strawberries. 2kg for 4 eur. That seemed like a very good deal so now we have fruit to eat at the hotel room :)
And after we went back home it was time for yet another long exploration walk through the town... But this post is getting long so that can wait until tomorrow post
Thanks got dropping by
