About a week ago one of my fellow Ugandan steemians quit his job to concentrate on steemit fulltime.
https://steemit.com/steemit/@jordanlove/steemit-vs-my-current-job this is his post check it out,
so inspiring.
what happened?
His manager was restricting the use of his phone and laptop the entire day, and everytime hecame from work very late in the evening he was already tired to do some steeming.
So he quit.
You see, I come from Uganda Africa, and most of my fellow steemians are doing steemit fulltime. I have seen them progress massively to where they are right now.
Most of these people are graduates and they have dedicated most of their time to steemit.
Others are still in pursuing their degrees and are pretty strong in steemit. The motivation they get everyday pushes them to work harder at steemit.
Some of my friends working on jobs are doing pretty well too. Most of these people earn about 700000 uganda shillings which is about 190 usd for a fresh graduate with impressive grades.
That can be some okay money, saving a small percentage too.
Luckily enough here in Uganda as much as the cost of living is still low, we find many people struggling to foot for their basic needs. It is likely that one would enjoy their job as it is.
But would you quit your Job?
credit
As much as boring this may sound, i say it depends.
What is your purpose on being on steemit?
How much more money are willing to get compared to the recent job?
How big are you goals?
Do you treasure financial freedom?
Are you willing to put yourself in position of helping others?
Do you want to travel the world and witness the beauty of the universe?
Literally if yes was the answer to most of those questions, You would mostly.
What are Ugandan jobs like? more insight
Most bank tellers here in Uganda, fresh graduates work for about 162usd 600000 uganda shillings.
Accountants on average work for about the same amount.
telecom engineers, sales managers, and so on.
It's always hard to overlook the convenience of steemit in all circumstances
Most steemit newbies in Uganda make about 67usd about 250000uganda shillings weekly on average hardwork. This makes 1million uganda shillings in a in a month.
established newbies like some of the top ugandan steemians make about 162usd about 600000uganda shillings in a week which makes it 2.4m uganda shillings about 648usd.
literally all factors being the same a minnow on steemit makes as much money if not more by an edge more than an average person on a good paying job
I don't know about most of the countries, though i have seen it through the passion people show on steemit*
Steemit has been such a mother to most of us and we always show this by giving back***
Why you wouldn't want to quit your job

About 3 days ago, we had a serious cryptocurrency dip. this was the time all coins were almost sinking below sea level. A friend of mine i told you about at the beginning of this artice came to me, he needed to withdraw some money to pay for rent.
I know you guessed my answer, i told him to wait until the market recovers, he insisted he never had money for some upkeep through the tough time.
It's when i realized that with some people a job could be necessary.
Me too something happened to me where by needed cash to buy btc at one of it's lowest dips at 6k, but i had no enough money to do it.
