ACF Fiorentina S.p.A is a professional football club in the Capital of Italy Florence, Tuscany. The club was thrown into chaos as it's skipper Davide Astoris, age 31 was found dead in an hotel before their Serie A Match with Udinese that was to take place on Sunday. Shockingly it was revealed that the Italian professional player died of natural cause of Cardiac arrest despite the advance medical equipment and series of tests on players for any vital conditions.

For this reason, all Sunday fixtures in the Serie A league was cancelled as the football outfit was thrown into tumult when the shocking news hits the public. If a professional soccer player could die suddenly as a result of a Cardiac Arrest, then who else is secured from the grips of death?

A club statement released by Fiorentina read:

“Fiorentina are profoundly shaken and forced to announce that their captain Davide Astori has died. For this terrible and delicate situation, and above all out of respect for his family, we appeal to the sensitivity of the media." - Arturo Mastronard, Fiorentina press officer.

Arturo Mastronard also revealed that Astori had not arrived for breakfast or answered his phone when called at 9.30am that sad morning, which prompted a swift action to check on the late player and Skipper of the team. He was found on his bed by a club masseuse, before being taken to a local hospital for an autopsy.

Davide Astori is survived by his partner, Francesca Fioretti, and a two-year-old daughter, Vittoria. The Club skipper is due to sign a new contract with the Viola on Monday so as to finish his career at the club before tragedy strucked..
