There are lots of times we need to think and reflect about our lives. What we want to do and why we have gotten into the current state and position we are in. One thing I want us all to know is that when thinking about what we have done in life or what we have been able to acquire in life at the current stage we are at. Just know that there has always been something that is very paramount in life, which is that someone has given up their own self for you to become what you are today. There is a saying that says that a tree doesn't make a forest. Without a tree in a bush, no way a forest can be made.
When we were young, our parents asked us questions about what we wanted to become, and one thing they did for the serious parents was that they made sure they followed our dreams accordingly and guided us so that we could be able to acquire these dreams we had in mind. Some parents even go as far as giving up their own dreams for their children's to come to fruition because they believe their children can still do better if they give them the chance.
Alot of people do underestimate the power of a parent, and besides, not just parents but those that stood by you and gave up their lives for you to become a reputable person in the world. Take, for instance, some people who pursue a career of becoming a better version of themselves, like those who become a lawyer, doctor, and so on. Sometimes, their parents might not be financially buoyant enough to foot the bills of those careers, but what they will do is pause their own career and allow their children or younger ones to go forward.
I got the inspiration for this post from a video I saw this morning. What does the video say? There was a water burst on the highway, and lots of vehicles and motorcycles were passing, and no one could hold the water back to allow people to pass freely. But there was this large truck that went to park right in front of the water pipe and ensured that he blocked the water pipe pressure so that others could pass through and be free without getting injured. I imagined this case, and I thought within myself that amongst all that were passing, why is it just a man that went to sacrifice his time and energy?
Normally, the vehicle driver will surely have urgencies to attend to, but he was just assured that he could help in his own little way and not that if he had not waited, something was going to happen to him. Plus, he had a better chance of escaping the water burst, but he just decided to save some lives at his own expense. This is just life and him helping others to be safe. In everything we do, we should not only think about ourselves alone in some cases. We should think about others too because a little help can go a long way in people's lives. And always remember that just a person sacrifice can make a way for others to become who they want to become in life.
