While the STEEM-blockchain was frozen for the first time a few weeks ago, I stumbled over an old blog post of @anomadsoul, where he explained how his life changed to the better. When chatting on Discord, I told him how much I liked his old post. This gave him the idea to make a challenge, where you look back at your history on this chain and make a summary of your best posts: Check the announcement here. When listing my most important posts, my introduction and first ever post on the STEEM blockchain obviously can't be missing. Even though my introduction was quite well made in my eyes, I stayed far from the hundreds of dollars a Youtube-video "promised" for good introduction posts. Well, I am still glad that video brought my attention towards Steemit 😉 I think it is kind of sad that the introduction posts don't have the same value anymore. Back then, at least some whales (Hive account@blocktrades for a huge part) were curating introductions on a regular basis. PANORAMIC view over the GRAND CANYON!

The post that really showed me that success in terms of high upvotes is possible for minnows without big wallets or powerful friends was this one. One of the best pictures I have ever taken with my old iPhone5 got a huge vote by the generous Hive account@xaero1 . I remember that I couldn't trust my eyes when I saw the sum back then. Definitely a huge boost in terms of motivation back then!

A wonderful trip to Paris was the reason why I started to do longer reports about my travels/hikes and stopped just posting single pictures. Operation Christmas Child

One of the coolest charity programs I know, Operation Christmas Child, was the reason for this post where I tried to collect money in order to buy stuff to pack in shoeboxes. Even thought I was hoping for more support, I still had a lot of fun and was able to at least pack some boxes. An epic soccer game with the MVP being a Steemian!

This post is about a crazy soccer game some friends of me and myself had the chance to enjoy live in Vienna. But that's not the coolest part. The coolest part is, that Hive account@modernpastor from STEEM was the MVP in this game. I remember how much fun I had writing this game report - Guess I should do that again soon. Welcome @welcoming, an account for manual #introduceyourself curation!

Above I have told you that I think there is too little curation in #introduce-yourself - But only complaining doesn't help right?! That's why I created the account Hive account@welcoming, which is focusing on voting and resteeming well made introductions - so far I have resteemed way over 1000 intros! The project also shows that good initiatives get support from big accounts. The two biggest supporters from the first minute of Hive account@welcoming were Hive account@acidyo and Hive account@transisto - But Hive account@pharesim, Hive account@ausbitbank and others also helps. The german community has it's own Discord server now

In a phase where many new German users joined the Blockchain, Hive account@jedigeiss and me grew a Discord server for this quickly growing community. Today we have way over 1000 members on the server and have held over a dozen of live meetups over the voice channels. When the Viennes digital agency Hive account@limesoda appeared on the blockchain, I didn't have a clue how much influence they would have on my life (on here and in general). They are a bunch of fun girls and guys who like to take life on here the fun way (remember their cool aprils fool joke) and definitely add a lot of value. But they are far more than just some online-comedians :P In fact they are a quite successfull company who also sends members to Austrias colleges as teachers. And they gave me the chance to join them, which I am really thankful for :) It was really fun - and with the start of Hive account@steemarity we actually even created someting impacting people outside the blockchain as well. WOW - that was actually the coolest challenge I have taken part on the STEEM blockchain so far. It's cool to look back at all the time here and get back up the memories. Normally I am not the most emotional guy out there, but this really got my emotions sometimes - As you might have figured that is also the reason why this compilitation has it's focus on more personal posts rather than my best posts in terms of picture quality, etc.. Glad my little message on Discord motivated you to do this challenge Hive account@anomadsoul - guess we made the best out of the times when the blockchain was struggling with itsself.

Of course I also want to nominate some guys (I know not all of them will join, but the one who doesn't try can not win!):

Hive account@jedigeiss: My partner in crime considering the DACH-Discord-Server mentioned above needs a little motivation to post again anyways. Come on Jan! :)
Hive account@shaka: One of the most respected German curators and definitely a nice guy according to what I know so far - Unfortuantely, that's not to much. Maybe a look back at your beginnings here would help a little bit. I am sure not only the German community would be really interested in this.
Hive account@felixxx: Same things that apply for Hive account@shaka, apply for this German witness as well. I guess his look-back would contain many nice "Microsoft-Paint-Artworks" about STEEM. Come on, make us laugh :D
Hive account@eveuncovered: I don't really know her - I just know that she will be at Steemfest and that she tends to post nice pictures - Why not give the guys (and maybe girls 😉) a little present by nominating here to post a compilitation of her best pictures 🤪 See you at SteemFest!
