Visiting the Egg Lady is always a priority when the grand-kids are up. The walk is about 1/4 mile up the road. When I say up I mean that literally.

Our first stop was to see the new miniature goats she had just got earlier this month. Most of the animals on her farm are rescue animals. This pair of goats were given to her by someone who no longer wanted them and was going to have a vet put them down. She traveled back to NJ to pick them up.
Same situation with this miniature pot bellied pig.(rescued) She also has 5 dogs, 3 of which she provided a home for before being put down by the dog shelter. 🤞🤞🤞
Very lucky animals, as she provides them with 1st class accommodations.
This is always my favorite part of our visit as she provides us with a constant supply of farm fresh eggs.
!
Here is the BOSS, the only male in the bunch. A male is referred to as the Rooster or cock.
For him it must be like living in heaven, unless his harem is clucking away.
The grand kids love collecting eggs, unless they get pecked while trying to gather the eggs.😢😢😢
Stopping buy the horses is always exciting. The question always remains the same, can we ride them. We always bring carrots or apples to feed them, but this time we blew it, forgetting to bring anything for them to nibble on.
This is the Egg Lady in all of her glory. She continues to amaze me. This is a picture of her on a tractor. My wife went to get some eggs and drop off some Maple Syrup in exchange, and her cousin was just heading back to the barn to park the tractor. She had just removed a very large tree that had fallen across her driveway during the night. After cutting it into long sections, she chained them up, hooked them to the rear of the tractor, and pulled them out of the way.
She does everything on her farm without the assistance of her husband who passed away 2 years ago.
She continues to set the bar when it comes to keeping up with all of the chores.
Her place is always as neat as a pin.
She is the BOMB!
Hope you enjoyed! thebigsweed
