Hi Friends! ...or should i say: high friends?
Recreational Marijuana became legal today, October 17th, across all of Canada. From Coast to Coast to Coast as we like to say up here 😜👍and this is not fake news — even though it’s on CNN! Yuck yuck yuck... No, for real, that shit is legal to buy and hodl here in Canada as long as you have less than 30 grams on your person.
Ironically, for the past couple years there have been “medical dispensaries” operating, and here in Vancouver there are literally hundreds of them. I would wager that there are more weed shops than Starbucks! And we have more Starbucks than Seattle — just to give you an idea...
Strangely, however, only 1 gov’t outlet opened in BC, Canada’s Western Province, and that store is like a 4-5 hour drive inland from Vancouver, in Kamloops, so who knows wtf is going to happen? But it’s a grand experiment, and it just made Canada the No. #1 pot spot on the planet.
Crazy times indeed! I have written before that it is easier and more convenient for me to buy dope than liquor or gasoline and that is the truth. Across my lane there are literally two dispensaries side by side and they are both busy!

So all that is just to say i had good reason to fire up a skinny this morning with my coffee ritual. After dropping off my son Charlie to gr. 1, where he was greeted with like 8 high fives down the hall 😁🤩😁 me and Leon jumped aboard the ingot and set sail for a wee little foray into a new coinshop i just found out about, and a tack across town to my lcs.
Success! I found another TD bar that i scooped for generic price at the first place (which is more of a money exchange and RCM retailer of the collector stuff).
And then Leon conked out... so i hit up JM with a sleeping assassin and grabbed a sweet old National bar for generic price, and another prospector (a 1986 ‘eagle’) which i paid too much for — but when it comes to 1oz Engelhard products, i’m a sucker who was born yesterday.
And finally, check this out... i just got myself into a sixty-nine — what is this 3 word!!!? 🤣🤣🤣
The rep scores have been moving slower and slower, so i am pleased, and amused, that i now have a reputation for being a sixty-niner! ...though in truth, it’s been years since i attempted that ridiculous posture! Bah ha ha, i’m a specialist, and i need some room to work!
