T.H.I.E.F. — The Heinous Idiocy of Entertaining Fiat
Could it be any more obvious? If it is possible for Central Banks to just print willy-nilly and slap on any number they choose, and thus steal value from those who hold their notes, that, they will!
Apparently i should be fucking rich right now — but in reality. i am not
This bill is only 10 years old, and on the face of it i should be able to buy many, many Lambos, and Mansions to park them in!
But alas, i cannot. And why? Because the only thing backing this rather astonishing note is an anonymous promise from a faceless institution that, quite obviously, desires to extort money out of me. I am so grateful i do not live in Zimbabwe...
So wtf? How did they do it? Well, they just changed around some monetary laws which is their prerogative to do so, called the old money invalid, pulled a few levers and spun a few stories out and presto-chango! The Culprits on one end of the trade steal all the value, and the mom & pop on the other end inherit all the liability.
This tragic opera has, sadly, been a hit all around the world for centuries. How many more times is it going to play out before people wake up and smell their own asses being burnt?
