North Korea accepts Seoul's offer and will discuss its participation in the upcoming PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
The breakthrough, according to Pyongyang's official media, has matured at the disposal of the leader Kim Jong-un who "appreciated" the support for his peace opening by arranging for today the restoration of the direct channel of communication with South Korea.
North Korea has announced that it will reopen the channel in a further promising signal on the front of the dialogue: according to the state radio, the operation will take place today at the border village of Panmunjom at 15:00 in Pyongyang.
