The Foundry exists to recruit, disciple, and resource Christian entrepreneurs in their businesses and non-profit endeavors.
We are a co-working space located in Wilmore, Kentucky with dreams of becoming a network of co-working spaces utilizing underutilized church space.
Most churches in the U.S. open their doors for services 2 days a week, Wednesday evening, and Sunday.
That leaves prime business hours during the week where churches have the opportunity to provide a space for startups at a reasonable rate.
It is estimated that by 2020, 40% of the workforce will be freelancers and solopreneurs.
The Foundry is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this growing trend by establishing our offices near a world class business school.
More than this, we believe that the intersection of business and faith should not only meet, but become a highway of world changing initiatives.
Christians are often scared to make money because they may think the only way someone makes money is to take it from someone else – this is poverty mindset rooted in communism.
As business owners, we believe that when we bless people both parties are rewarded. As Christians, we understand that while our businesses are in business to make a profit, the social and kingdom objectives are equally important.
Our dream as The Foundry, is to be a place of worship where businesses thrive and individuals prosper. Money should not be the end but the means to an end of making a better world.
By recruiting, discipling, and resourcing Christian entrepreneurs, The Foundry will not only enrich the church by leasing physical space, but Lord willing, enrich the worldwide church in its calling.
