Getting agitated in Lucky's Labyrinth
Trying again in the third section just shows how brutal it can get, as we see Arghrash being mauled to death by a vicious mongrel that surprised him around a corner, so much for strategy from the get go.
"I was not careful that time but I will be careful once more, I am determined to get through this horrid place!" he thought to himself.
Again with the deaths caused in this wretched place.. a frag mine sitting under a body which had the alluring bottlecaps shifting the eyes slightly away from the trap that had been set. This was instant death from the explosion and another lesson to be learned, this was not going so well for the mad man.
"Okay let me focus for a minute.. the confusion of remembering the correct way is messing with my mind so I just need to take corners slow and open my eyes."
At the end of one section with a display setup, antibiotics could be found and oh how this was a glorious find to have and add to the collection. Not only that but with disarming all the traps while killing the dogs off, another level gained means getting the final intelligence training so he could unlock a specific perk with the level after!
After some more time of getting around the maze to reach the pipes again, then working his way through the pipes to the final section, he didn't realise the worst was around the corner. It comes in the form of an alpha vicious mongrel and oh did it hurt!
The initial laser damage output was high to do over half its health in damage yet that is where it stopped. It took a couple of vicious bites and left Arghrash dead once more.. he was doing oh so well too.
Determination is key and using great aim to ensure the onslaught of laser damage was to stick to the alpha until it eventually dies, but to be safe the level up point went to the toughness perk for extra chances of surviving, by taking less damage.
"Come on you bastard and come get me" he said as he lined the alpha up and started to lay the laser fire into it, not stopping even with it charging and behold, it was super effective this time.
"Damn this place is finally over, I think. Now to claim whatever loot is in this section and get out..."
It was a good thing he took that damage resistance perk and was quick on the reaction timing as he got a sudden surprise. Another alpha came rushing from the corridor he had killed the previous one in and had thought it was just a normal dog, the hurt was real but that quick reaction was what stopped Arghrash from being killed this time and this was truly the end of this places nasty surprises!
"What shitty loot is left at the end of this place, I had better finds throughout the damn maze. Well at least the place is clear for the settlers now so they can feel safe. I should get something going there just a bit to help out" Arghrash thought to himself as he looted and went to sleep.
It was satisfying to rest after a torturous ordeal like this place, he was quick to unlock the exit with the terminal, getting outside and breathing fresh air.
With Lucky's Labyrinth behind him now and a run back across the bridge to head back to Oberland Station settlement and bring the good news, there was some short reflecting and sadness with how long it took to clear that place.
"Am I losing my touch by being all alone or was that place just tough?"
He arrived at the settlement and found the settler who had brought up this mission. "It is done and you are safer now, that place was one tough thing to get through which is why I am only now finally getting back."
"Thank you so much, we appreciate your help, please take these caps it is all we can spare and also feel free to use our workshop whenever you want" the settler said with a sigh of relief.
"I should go clear my head while I have a bit of a look around closer to where I was originally headed."
Arghrash found a quiet spot to sit down next to a skeleton on a bench, to look out and just take in the joyful scenery and views.. after waiting around for about an hour a headache started to come on, must have been from the radiation storm that was passing through and he only caught a small amount of this time.
"Better wait a little longer so that can finish passing and then I will just wander for a while in this area, heck maybe even wait around longer yet" Arghrash said out loud before sticking put in this area.
