The Hive Making the Best of Dustsweeper

A closer look has being given to @Dustsweeper this was done to ensure we were giving you the best value we could. Our vote has again changed to 100% Our vote value is currently 1.6 - 1.7 and below the threshold payout.
I have been a positive advocate of @Dustsweeper since I first heard of it and my opinion of Dusty as I like to name it, has not changed one bit. I do like to see the members of The Hive benefit where ever we can find a penny for them or piece of a penny.

Let's break it down a bit.

Well this part was easy enough. When a vote of 1.5 is received the comment has a good chance of paying out at 4.3 from the additional 2.8 vote from
You do not get all of this reward for yourself unfortunately, 25% is swept away to reward others for reading your content, That is what is great about Steemit, You get paid for reading as well as writing.
That 25% which rewards those who voted on your post. adds up to a total of 1.075, maths time again.

Hmm the numbers are getting longer but the amount is getting smaller.
So we have a reward to our account then of 3.225.
This 3.225 is broken down to two sides if you are like me and select the 50/50 option for a payout. this will return 50% in SBD and 50% in Steem Power, automatically powered up to your account.
Leaving a balance of 1.6125 YAY!, well not yet. with the cost of the vote 1.4 if deducted from your reward SBD leaves a profit 0.2125 The other half of your rewards is growing your account. Let's do a quick look at this again with a value of 0.01 vote to your comment.
When your comment holds a vote value of .01 and
3.8 minus 25% (.95)
Leaves us with 2.85 The cost of the vote 0.014 along with half of the reward being paid directly to our Steem Power leaves a profit of 0.005 more of a yea ok I can get along with that compared to yay. This is still beneficial as it is growing your Steem power and the returns are the re-investment to keep your growth going.
You can see from both examples above. the lower the reward to your comment before dustsweeper votes, the less value the vote holds to you in terms of efficiency and your ability to keep up with payments for future votes.
A vote below 0.01 will result in a negative impact on your available SBD to gain more votes as you use the votes already on account.
For this reason The Hive will return to voting on your comment at 100%
