my intentions have been pure as regards this wednesday walk community. who would not walk on a wednesday if they knew they had a chance of bumping into . unfortunately i have had serious lapses of concentration brought on by life and all its experiences so mostly i remember wednesday walk on thursday.... and this is how it has been going for months now.
but having made a date (albeit one sided) with for a walk today... one she insisted i bring my bestest half with to chaperone... not sure why! i is a scholar and a gentleman.... truly {crosses fingers superstitiously} i certainly did not forget wednesday walk
yours truly resting before commencing our walk... having cycled up some serious hills to a small village named moldolfo...the topic of this walk
the walls against which i was resting
below is a picture of where we were headed. resting the bikes after their arduous journey was my idea. i know bikes do not enjoy hills.... and i believe in being kind and caring to all and sundry.
distances can be deceiving .... is just a hop, skip and a jump away.
mondolfo, the old village was built inside a castle as were many villages in that century.
a statue commemorating the 76 brave souls from the village who lost their lives in the first world war
all is not rustic though, as we discovered at the top of a long slog uphill ...
this is akin to coming across a penguin in the desert ... we were surprised.. but around the corner was another surprise
i confess i was impressed
everything is up...up...up
needless to say i wanted to go right.... we went left
we visited the church ... but not sharing here as i have done a thousand church photo's ...and then had a cold beer before slogging back down to our bicycles.
unfortunately i think took another route somewhere in another country... but we walked together in spirit...
thank you for stopping by as always, stay safe stay free and love the one you are with
