I won't link the app as I don't want anyone downloading it by mistake. It has been on the Chrome App Store for over a week and still has yet to be removed despite multiple reports by many people I know as well as myself.
If you do a search for Ledger, it is the only result returned. From what I hear, the plugin directs you to the official website, but it is unknown what it does behind the scenes. Almost 3,000 people have downloaded it to date.
If you are using a hardware be it a Trezor, Keep Key, Ledger Nano, or anything else, only use the manufacturer's site to install any software for it. A hardware wallet is similar to a paper wallet until you start installing malicious software.
