As u all know shanghar is famous for meadows of grassland and Shangchul mahadev temple. Specially these areas are untouched and clean. You will not see any plastics around. That is the best thing i see in past years at some particular place.
When you start your trek you will see old vintage houses and i like the architecture of the houses because these houses are vintage almost made two centuries ago and still not defected by any disaster. These are cultural things which inspires me most about any culture.
So this the is the Pundrik lake which is not look like lake now. It is mostly covered with the grass and only few people go inside while there is any particular event for the god. Going inside for other people are prohibited and lake is covered by fencing wire so no one can go inside. This lake is also clean as well and request to other people keep it clean.
So this is the Pundrik rishi temple. And best thing is that there is a school near by the temple as well. As i heard so much that school is a temple but i think temple is a school as well because we learn many things our in life but the things we learn at temple and schools it shows our persona in the society.
I named myself as The Mountain Sheep because i like them alot. They look like stoned people but always calm and exploring new places and did not harm anything. They always give to the nature and take only grass to eat.
Pundrik Lake is situated in Sainj valley. You have to take bus or taxi from Aut (kullu) to sainj bus stand after that you have to reach Ropa which is a part of GHNP (Great himalyan national park) After that you can take taxi to Jhilli Neauli village. After that little hike of 45 minutes to one hour. This is the easiest way to reach pundrik lake.
