CNN has been caught in what seems like faking the rescue of a flood victim. The video first shows, a CNN anchor and cameraman sighting a floating pickup in flood water. They talk off camera, quickly about finding some kind of rope or power cord, to rescue the man. The anchor then runs right to left in dramatic action to the aid of the pickup driver.
The only problem is, researchers discovered, that when the anchor was running left to right, before the dramatic footage was cut, the TV anchor was wearing tan shorts, but after the cut when the anchor was at the pickup, pulling the man free with the aid of the cameraman, the TV anchor, seen in a red coloured coat, was no longer wearing tan shorts, but in fact heavy black wet weather pants and gumboots.
By the audio narrative, it is clear, that the anchor in the red jacket is the same person who was in the tan pants. Thus there had to be a large time shift between the two events that are now inter-cut, and has all the hallmarks of a staged event, rather than a spontaneous seamless action.
