Shindig Shop: 'Red Zone'

Here's a song that I wrote, while it would probably be more accurate to say that the tune wrote itself in my head one day. It was a funky thing with a raw deep-city feel, and was a song that became a standard part of the band Shindig Shop's sets over the years; Red Zone.

I probably wrote this one around 1989, and it immediately had such a dangerous, drug-related groove that I wrote the dangerous drug-related lyrics to go with it, and the song's treatment by the band Shindig Shop in 1998 is captured here in this epic 16-minute live version.
