Segovia is a city in the north west of Madrid. It lies in the heart of the beautiful region that is called "la mancha" that inspired the great writer miguel Cervantes to write his famous novel Don Quijote.
Even though the name comes from the ancient celts the city centre is dominated by roman architecture. The romans constructed the great aqueduct in the city centre which made it to the list of world heritages by the UN.
Another great place to visit is the castle which is located at the corner of the city centre.
Also absolutely worth mentioning are the cathedral of segovia and the church of "San Martin". Sa far enough of word! Enjoy the pictures of this great small city in this photo series!
