Cameron Falls, Waterton
What you see here are Christmas and New Year wishes from scenes I took at Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada twelve years ago. This park is in Alberta, on the Montana border and part of the Glacier International Peace Park. The Alberta park is nearly abandoned in winter, all park residences are boarded up, and there was just one hotel open for cross-country skiers, and also open is the RCMP station. So the main road in Waterton was plowed, but access roads to the various other places and trails were closed, with the exception of the road halfway up to Cameron Lake - the rest of the way was for cross-county skiers to use.

The day in February 2007 when I took these photos, me and my family were the only people in the park! It looks romantic, but that day it was at least -20°C - but considering that we had at times -40°C, it felt like a balm day, lol.
So how "lonely" was Waterton village that day?
