BATTLE-SCARRED VETERAN

^{In the early nineties in Canada, in the Northwest Territories as they were called then, I visited the area around Fort Smith, checking trap lines with some Native friends, where I also encountered several Lynx. This painting, from years earlier, was a gift to my hosts. Oh, forgot to mention: it was Christmas/New Year I spent there, and the average temperature was -35 Celsius.}
