Teamsouthafrica can host another sweet competition :)This time around we'll be looking at a short story or drawing competition revolving around The African Goddess. This was a creation by myself a little while ago when Teamsouthafrica participated in the #motu (Masters of the Universe) contest.
I figured that The African Goddess can become Steemit's own version of a Goddess that looks after and protects Africa.
You can quite literally draw or write anything you like revolving around the theme. To give you an example I've written a short story below:
The African Goddess - Looking Down At Her Children Below
She was a beautiful being, born under the African sun, sent to protect her gorgeous continent.
As the African Goddess stared down at the continent below, she couldn't help but smile as she saw her children running about, laughing and chattering as they all enjoyed the natural beauty of Africa.
Today, the light of Africa was shining particularly bright, seen from galaxies away. This warmed her heart and made the African Goddess sing with delight. Her song reverberating throughout the halls of the God's.
Her singing was so powerful, it tamed the Gods, set them into silence and they all but simply listened to her powerful song. Today will be her day, she thought. A day where peace and happiness will be brought unto Africa.
As she sung her beautiful song, she could see the light within her children growing brighter and stronger. The grasslands looked greener, the animals seemed free'er and the people went merrily about their day.
Oh how she wished she could show the universe this beauty every day.
The African Goddess knew that all was not perfect. Her children sometimes failed, however they learned. She knew that time would help them grow and learn... and how well they have been learning.
The children could feel her light, shining within them oh so bright. "Embrace it my child" she sung unto them. "The light of Africa is within."
Although they did not know, the African Goddess' children could feel this was a special day for them all. The day the African Goddess was born to help and protect them all.
Rules of the competition:
Create a short story (minimum 250 words) or artwork relating to the African Goddess

The rewards will be split as follows:
The top 3 entries will all receive 5 SBD. At the time of posting that equates to US$ 40 each!! I will also be looking some bonus rewards to entrants depending on the post payout.
These rewards will vary depending on a number of factors i.e. participation, comments on other participants etc. Depending on how the competition develops and the interaction is perceived we'll decide on who and how the bonus rewards will be split.
As per the previous competition I won't be the soul judge and will mention the other judges involved once the winners have been announced.
