If I’m not active on Hive… yeah, that usually means life is doing something. And yep… it did 😅
Last few days? Crazy. Not even in a bad way. Just… everything at once. No time to breathe. No time to scroll. Honestly, no time to even hold my phone.
So let’s rewind a bit 😉
We decided it’s finally time to sell some of our collector stuff. Well… his collector stuff 😄 My husband is obsessed (in a good way!) with Hot Wheels, Pokémon, and One Piece cards. And me? LEGO girl forever. But I like building more than collecting dust-covered boxes in a dark room. Let’s be honest… building is the best part 😉
So we started using this app where you sell things live, like streaming. Pretty fun actually...and waaay faster than eBay and all that.
BUT.
Do you know how much stuff he has??
I can’t even say numbers… just imagine: A LOT. Like… FREAKING A LOT.
Our apartment is crying for space. And then there’s even more stuff at his parents’ house.
So plan was:
He sorts everything at home, and I drive to Slovenia to pick up the rest.
I swear… his parents were probably like “finally!!” when I took it all 😂
My car? FULL. Completely full.
Then came the real chaos…
Sorting everything took a whole day. Selling? Two days. Cards? Another two days.
And selling sounds fun (it is), but behind the scenes?
Mess. Stress. Boxes everywhere. Names, orders, labels… don’t mix anything up!!
But hey...I have to say it...I’m pretty good at this 😎
We didn’t mess up a single order!
Still… I was DEAD tired. And it wasn’t over. Printing labels, packing, driving to the post… repeat again and again.
And guess what?
We probably sold like… 10% of everything 🤣
Yeah. We’re not done anytime soon.
At night I just dropped into bed like a potato. But of course… I still had to work 4 days straight.
I was dying. Every single day.
Come home → bed → no talking → no thinking → just EXIST.
Now here’s the thing…
My husband kept asking me: “Are you okay?”
Because he knows… when I have too much stress, my body reacts.
And with epilepsy, stress is not just “oh I’m tired.”
Stress can actually trigger seizures. Like your brain just says: “Okay, you didn’t rest? I’ll shut you down myself.” ⚡
Not fun. At all.
But also… funny enough… I kind of work great under stress.
I don’t think. I just do. Go, go, go.
Still...this is important...if you have epilepsy, stress is tricky:
Too much stress → higher chance of seizures
No sleep → BIG trigger
Pushing too hard → your body will force a stop
So yeah… even if you feel strong, your brain might disagree 😅
However, there are still some rules and signs I always follow because I don’t want to "dance on the floor" (yes, I mean having a seizure), and it's important!
Sleep is NOT optional. It’s medicine.
Take small breaks (even 10 minutes doing nothing)
Drink water (sounds stupid, helps a lot)
Don’t skip meals
Listen to early warning signs (headache, weird feeling, slow thinking)
And honestly… accept help when you need it
You don’t have to be a hero all the time.
BUT… after all that chaos…
Saturday, 10 p.m.
I was still FULL of energy. Couldn’t calm down.
And I thought: Wait a minute… I live near Graz… I’m not old… WHAT AM I DOING AT HOME?!
So I told my husband: “Get dressed. We’re going out. I don’t care.” 😄
5 minutes later...I was ready (yes, miracle, I know).
He looked at me like I lost my mind.
We went to a disco… one minute from our home… where we’ve NEVER been in 11 years 🤣
And guess what?
I expected young crowd, crazy party…
Nope.
10 people. Loud music. That’s it 😂
BUT I said: I’m dancing.
And I did. For like… one minute. Because the music was terrible 😆
After one hour and two beers (yes, I was already tipsy lol), we went home.
Conclusion: Disco after 30? Hmm… questionable 🤣
BUT...we did it. And I proved to myself: I still got energy!
Next two days?
Sleep. Read. Repeat.
And my amazing husband did everything...cooking, cleaning… just so I could rest and not trigger a seizure.
Yeah… I got lucky with him ❤️
Now I’m back.
Body recharged. Brain breathing again.
And GUYS… it’s getting warmer!! 🌱
That means garden time is coming...and I have sooo many ideas. I can’t wait to show you!
So yeah… that’s my little life update. ( still not over with selling the stuff) 😂
