Hello everybody!!!
Day two for my challenge and today I am presenting the album that I've danced with its tracks the most; especially as a teenager during the 1990's in the wild rave parties of that awesome era.
The Fat of the Land is an epic studio album by the legendary Prodigy. It was first released on 30 June 1997, even though it still feels like yesterday to me. The album received critical acclaim and went on selling over 10 million copies worldwide, an incredible number if you take into account how wildly anti-commercial, anti-social and electropunk the image of the band was, especially the group's main "face" Keith Flint.
The album title comes from the old English phrase "living off the fat of the land," which means living well or being wealthy and truth is that the band's members became quite wealthy from that album's sales and numerous live concerts that followed.
In 1998, Q magazine readers voted The Fat of the Land the ninth greatest album of all time, while the album is also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
