Come walk with me as we travel through the many paintings ๐
---Start This Journey Here---
I continued walking around the outskirts of the town and observed the unique way in which the people had organized their way of life here. As it became quite hot here during noon the villagers retreated to their homes at these times to cool down in their neat little homes. But as I had no home to go to I tried to stay under the cool shade of the trees. They grew rather sparingly here, but it was enough for me to explorer the area.
The soft hills made it not too challenging to wander around. Although in the distance the big giants still stood steadily, reflecting the sun at some places and swallowing it at others. They sprung to life with the vibrant and colorful vegetation that lived there. But they added to that softness which permeated all of the environment and everything within it here.
On the top there was a little plateau which enabled me to see my surroundings more clearly. The houses and the little church of the village lay to my back and in front of me there were more haystacks, neatly put together in the same way to the ones I saw earlier. Like hats they dotted the landscape and they retained and spread the smell of summer. There was no one around here. Just me and all of the small animals and the thousands of insects buzzing around.
On the fields the heat was intense and I quickly lay down and took a rest in one of the life giving shadows of the haystacks. From there I once more had a view of the village and the many houses and farms it encompassed. It was not a very big village. But it had a church similar to the ones I had seen in some of the villages that I had passed through recently. A fairly high tower with a pointed red roof and one or two bells which were resting now, no doubt waiting for their next performance.
Above the roof tiles the heat was visible through the wavy hot air that was ascending. It gave the whole scene a very strange and dream like appearance. Suddenly a grass hopper jumped on my leg and rested there for a while. I wasn't scared of insects as long as they didn't harm me and so i just observed the little fellow how it rubbed its legs together before jumping into the grass again. The closer I looked, the more insects became visible in the grass. I saw spiders and ants and all kinds of bugs - of which some had a very beautiful appearance. They all went about their business and didn't really seem to be bothered by each other. Sometimes I saw how two ants would do a thorough search of themselves when they came close. It was probably their way of communicating and exchanging information about their world.
