The blockchain has a chance to liberate musicians and artist, giving musicians freedom to be 100% independent. Musicians have been at the bottom of the totem pole since the dawn of time. Even in the "golden age" of recording, musicians made the labels millions of dollars. Steemit/Dsounds and the blockchain break old rules, setting artist free from the chains of the past !
I spent many years on various other platforms with lots of views and plays but almost no monetary return from these platform. The digital age gave the ability to share your work worldwide but very few doors opened that gave artist the true power to step outside the box, start a label, release a album or just chase his dreams.
Steemit/Dsound/Dtube and the blockchain changed everything. Artist and content creators have more power than ever before. Art, projects and concepts can be supported like no time in history of man. I'm honored to be releasing my music on the blockchain.
Nothing But Dirt is a Steemit based music label with 100% Steemit based artist. My plan is to start small, maybe 3 artist. Then slowly grow, opening spots up to Steemit artist that fit the labels concept and direction. I plan to showcase the next two Nothing But Dirt artist within the next few weeks, keep a ear out for that news.
