So I've listed some interesting things you probably didn't know about Ke Xu and that's what the video is all about
Ke Xu is just 23years old.
Ke Xu is a Texas Poker player. She once won $1,000,000 for playing poker.
Ke Xu created her first social media called Era in 2014.
Era had One million Users in 12 days.
Era has 10million users in China today.
In 2013 she was involved in bitcoin mining with her friends. They controlled over 10,000 Bitcoins.
2016–2017 Ke Xu created Nome Lab which developed and launched the popular blockchain game called CryptoDogs.
Cryptodogs, when launched the first day, had 100 users. Each cryptodog was going for $50,000. Today each cryptodog is now $1,000,000.
Ke Xu has a rather inspiring belief about money.
She believes that money is a proof of everyone's value and if you have value but you don't have money, it is unfair.
Money is not her core philosophy, money doesn't mean much to her, her goal is to make human society better.
Ke Xu rejected money from investors and told them that ONO will do an ICO when they have reached a population of 3 million users. This is to ensure that everyone (especially the poor) gets a chance to be a part of the project and prevent investors/speculators from controlling ONO.
Ke Xu believes that society needs a better mechanism to complete its value distribution.
ONO has the same core philosophy as EOS and it would be built on EOS. Ke Xu promises to create solutions to some of the problems in Steemit(the biggest blockchain social media in existence). The problems include plutocracy, bots, complexities and poor UI.
She claims that in ONO there it would be equality and value in return for human attention. She claims that users can choose the features they like and refuse to see what they don't like and that decisions would be made by a referendum where everyone has an equal vote. There will be no whales or minnows as seen in Steemit.
ONO was launched on April 15, 2017 and by May, the App would be available for international users.
Ke Xu undeniably has a good track record and a wonderful philosophy. I'm really fanscinated in this ONO project and what it has to offer. Like most of EOS dApps, the goal is to make the world a better place and that just turns me on.
I believe that a competitor to Steemit was going to show up sooner or later. I believe that this sort of development would be beneficial to individuals as they may now have an alternative and they would go where they feel better or use both services. There are many other blockchain social media that exist besides Steemit and many more will come. As more blockchain social media appear with different value propositions, I believe that Steemit would still have her place in the world of blockchain social media.
