Give all to love;
Obey thy coronary heart;
neighbors, kindred, days,
estate, excellent-popularity,
Plans, credit and the Muse,
Nothing refuse.
'T is a brave master;
Let it have scope:
follow it totally,
Hope past hope:
high and more excessive
It dives into midday,
With wing unspent,
Untold intent;
however it is a god,
knows its own direction
And the outlets of the sky.
It was in no way for the imply;
It requireth braveness stout.
Souls above doubt,
Valor unbending,
it's going to reward,
They shall return
greater than they have been,
And ever ascending.
Leave taken with love;
yet, hear me, but,
One phrase more thy coronary heart behoved,
One pulse more of firm undertaking,
keep thee to-day,
To-morrow, ceaselessly,
Free as an Arab
Of thy beloved.
Dangle with lifestyles to the maid;
but when the shock,
First indistinct shadow of surmise
Flits throughout her bosom young,
Of a pleasure apart from thee,
Free be she, fancy-free;
Nor thou detain her vesture's hem,
Nor the palest rose she flung
From her summer diadem.
Though thou adored her as thyself,
As a self of purer clay,
though her parting dims the day,
Stealing grace from all alive;
Heartily be aware of,
When half gods go,
The gods arrive.
