Who is going to save us?
That is the question from our corner.
Where will our help come from?
Many of us look up to the heavens, expecting help to descend from above.
Yet nothing seems to happen.
Does that mean there is no God?
We have abandoned our primary roles,
Leaving what we can do ourselves to the spirit,
Forgetting that the spirit works through human beings.
They will not simply fall from heaven
Or rise from beneath the sea to deliver us.
We can cry all we want,
And weep if we so desire,
But nothing will change
Unless we take care of ourselves.
We can pray all we want,
And render praises if we choose,
But without constant effort to make things better ourselves,
We are bound to remain in the same spot forever.
What humans can do
Should not be left in the hands of the invisible.
Life is good,
And it is certainly in our hands to make it so.
We can mourn all we want,
But until we ask the right questions
And take meaningful action,
Our problems will remain the same.
