I work as a Graphic Designer/Animator in a company that owns few TV channels which are mainly based on fighting sport & MMA. We've recently released new TV channel called WATAAA - premium combat channel broadcasting all types and forms of fighting. Brand identity of Wataaa, thinking of colors, are black & yellow" so due to that I managed to do a banner for it. It's an extra work I've done by myself, not for the company.
That design, at the same time is my Cover image here on Hive, as I find it really attractive + one of my favourite color combination is black & yellow.

The main elements were done in Adobe Illustrator in VECTOR SHAPE (unlike the raster form), vectors are based on mathematical equations - means that "playing" with the size of elements, no matter is that expansion or I'm making my elements smaller - The QUALITY remains the same.
A great role in this design makes imaginary shadows and playing with depth, if we're not talking about colors atm of course. That job was done in Adobe Photoshop, as the software has great tools right for that.
Another important difference lies in the transition between the last two photos. Pay attention to the look of logo. I've imported a vector shape of the logo which was made in Adobe Illustrator directly into Photoshop. Photoshop stands for industry standard and it's not without the reason. It has really powerful tools, and among them stands "Layer Styles". Effects I've used to make that look were "Bevel & Emboss" to make that 3D feel, "Color Overlay" - to get that Yellow tone of course and my favourite "Drop Shadow.". It's pretty much self-explanatory.
