Most of those of you who are familiar with me will surely realise this already but for those of you who aren't, I like to hold the odd contest now and again. :)
And since we've just started a brand new year, which I'm sure is going to be awesome for us all, I thought I'd hold a brand new contest, so I'd like to introduce you all to...
I was a big fan of comic books as a boy and used to really enjoy following the adventures of my favourite superheoes such as Spider-man, The Avengers or Judge Dredd in 2000AD (loved it :)). I used to go to the Comic shop after school and spend ages deciding which one I would spend the little money I had on. I used to have a really big collection, kept in the mandatory plastic covers so that they didn't get damaged. I even used to draw out and make up my own little comic strips, sometimes with my favourite characters, Superman, Iron-Man, Batman,Judge Dredd and others, sometimes making up my own.
And that's exactly what I'm challenging you to do, in this first edition of 'The Comic-Con-Test. :)
I enjoy reading comics and I think everyone would enjoy seeing more of them here on steemit, so I'd like you to come up with a comic strip of your own based around a chosen theme. It can be as long as you like but must have a minimum of four frames and you can use any and all characters you can think of or imagine. The most important thing is that you have fun and keep as close to the theme as possible.
I will be judging the contest myself and will award first place to the entry that I enjoy the most. I'm particularly looking for funny and/or satirical entires but I'm excited to see what you can all come up with. :)

To enter the contest, create your own comic strip with a minimum of two frames based around the theme, STEEMIT. Once you have done so, create a post for your own blog and include the hashtag
#comic-contest.
It's that simple! :)
PRIZES!!
Since this is a new contest and I have no idea what sort of participation or support it will receive, I have decided to keep the prizes small but if the contest is successful I will look to up the prizes to match. If there are any sponsors out there who like the idea, feel free to get in touch. :)
The winner will receive 5 SBD.
Plus three runner up prizes of 1 SBD.
I will also be resteeming and upvoting those entires I particularly enjoy. :)
The contest will close after the seven day reward period for this post ends. All entries must be received by then to be valid.
I will announce the winner in a separate post in which their entry and those of the runners up will be featured.
If this initial contest is well received and enjoys good participation then I will look to make it more regular in future with different themes each week but for now it's a one off, so if you decide to enter, I hope you have a lot of fun and enjoy creating your own little comic.
