greetings to the community I hope you are well, if you live in Venezuela remember that the new strain of covid-19 is very dangerous so you should be very cautious, in this article I want to present my point of view on a topic "expenses", for many people the solution to economic problems is to reduce spending, but from my point of view that is not the solution because every lifestyle has an amount of money to spend and by nature the human being fights for his goals if he sees that there is an improvement in his life, so many of the economic problems of the people are in earning little and not in spending.
A couple of days ago I was talking to a friend who is doing very well economically, this friend told me about his expenses that from my point of view were very high, when I told him that in my opinion he was spending too much money he told me that each lifestyle has a budget and that each type of life has an amount of money that is necessary, he talked about lifestyles of $100 a month other more expensive lifestyles in Latin America of about $1000 a month and others living in developed countries that have lifestyles of over $10k, people work to be in those lifestyles and that there is nothing wrong with spending according to the lifestyle you choose to have, he told me that what causes suffering in people is that their income does not match their lifestyle.
If a person wants to live a $1000 lifestyle but their income is $800, this person can live a life where they spend $100 and they will live a peaceful life according to their income, but if people take that solution, they will end up depressed and feeling that life is not very good, their motivation will drop because it is not what they want not to mention that living below their means does not motivate anyone.
the solution is to increase your income, although it is true that it is not the easiest solution it is a solution that will help you grow as a person and will allow you to raise the level of difficulty, if you think about it if a person who earns $800 decides they want to live a $1000 lifestyle and achieves it this person will feel fulfilled and will then want to increase to $1100, in the opposite case if a person wants to reduce their expenses they can do so but the deprivation will reduce their motivation.
In conclusion, the most logical thing to do is to first know how much the lifestyle you want to live costs and then work harder to increase your income instead of just looking to reduce expenses, one of the best pieces of advice is that "Everything a person concentrates on expands" if you focus on living on less you will achieve it as well as if you focus on earning more to pay for your lifestyle also with time and consistency you will achieve it.
