Therapeutic and creative writing is hot and there are many good reasons to write 'dear diary' ...
1 In contact with creative you
Many creative people use so-called creative writing to find new ideas and get a grip on them. You can discover pages of yourself that are not so straightforward to see in your daily operations.
2 Take care of your problems
When you let your thoughts flow freely on the paperwork without thinking about legal spelling and fine formulations, you can get new perspectives on issues that you are otherwise stuck with.
3 Keep a string in yourself
If you have a specific goal you're doing - like weight loss, marathon or job change - daily writing around it can help keep your tongue right in the process of realizing your goal.
4 Write out of stress
When we are stressed, we are often busy trying to control everything to keep ourselves up. Writing with yourself puts you in touch with the feelings you're experiencing about stress, and can for a while allow you to print timeout, let go and be in place in the moment.
5 Get better relationships
If you write down your honest thoughts about people in your life, you increase the likelihood of getting a more nuanced view of them. Are you angry with your boss, you can even do an exercise where you imagine being and writing from that position.
