Hey all, I hope you're having a great weekend.
I have lately received a piece of good news. After almost 2 years I finally received an email from Australia Immigration regarding my WHV application. I had all my documents submitted and just waited for my visa to be approved. The pandemic occurred at that time, and my application has been pending ever since. Many of my friends gave up and chose to settle down rather than wait to go overseas again. Even though the pandemic has changed things in many ways, I've always had hope and faith for the future. The time flew by, and I'm glad to say that my application has been accepted. I am very excited about what 2022 holds, and I know where I will be this year and am ready for the new adventures awaiting. 🤩 To me, I find it hard to leave this stunning Da Nang again after living here for a while. I have some things planned, but I'd like to fully enjoy the beautiful summer here in Da Nang before leaving again, so I'm going to stay at least until July.
It seems promising that the world is going to reopen soon. I feel so excited.

Beautiful view taken today while trekking to Lang Van Beach
It's another beautiful weekend and I'm going out on a bicycle again. City cyclists are experiencing the best weather of the year. With the sun shining in a clear blue sky, getting out and going for a ride is easy to do. Many people can't stand the heat, but I really love the hot days. Walking outside of my apartment on a brutally hot day is always an adventure, and I'm a happy summer person.

I love stopping by at the river for this amazing sunset view anytime I pass by this road. The water is calm and serene, reflecting off of the orange sky. I can see traces of clouds in the reflection, slowly creating silhouettes on the water's surface. It's possible to see it for 30 minutes, and while many people drive to get a better view, I think it's so much better when I'm right next to the water.

Today after the trek to Lang Van Beach, while on the way home I stopped here again. The stunning sunset over the river is always worth stopping by. The vibrant colors make sitting on the bank of the river captivating. Some people were doing the paddleboarding along the river. They are probably out enjoying the beautiful weather and sunset over the city. I can't say it would be my favorite activity but I appreciate that other people still enjoy it. 😁

The sunset pictures taken last week while I cycled along the Han River.
To all my friends in Da Nang, I understand most of us are busy as the Tet Holiday is coming. However, this weekend is a great opportunity to explore around. Take your camera and explore your neighborhood, go light hiking around Hoa Bac, enjoy the sun at the beach, or even take a walk along the river. Don't forget to remember what little things make life worth living and make sure you enjoy them this weekend.
