A bit of a back story
It's been a while. If you have by chance heard about this NFT collection back then, you might have wondered what happened to it. To put it very short - the Koinos network, on which the Trans.Ex collection launched, has been all but discontinued. We originally launched on Kollection.app which honestly was a really good front end with a market place and all. But for a year or so, it has been offline together with most of the ecosystem of Koinos. It's been a hard lesson, but success is not always guaranteed.
So why the relaunch?
This post is also an entry into the MAGI contest, and as such I briefly want to emphasize just how easy it was to launch a collection here! 3 years ago, when I wanted to launch my collection on Koinos, it was very difficult to do so - it took me quite literally weeks with some technical help from a dev to launch it there... so simply clicking on "deploy" and seeing the contract getting built etc. really feels magical. This is clearly the path forward for mass adoption on web3. I can't wait to see how the network will grow from here on out.
Staying true to our original vision, we would like to sell our NFTs in a mint event as our NFTs will hold special properties. While we still have to work out some of the new details, you can read the main ideas here. Among one of the utilities the NFTs will have is a tiered rarity system: Gold, Silver and Bronze. These will give the owner a one time return of 50%, 100% or 200% based on the initial amount of $HIVE it took to purchase them. In other words, you can actually get back more than what you put into it! Other utilities are yet to be announced, but you can get an idea by browsing our blog.

As of now I have deployed the Trans.Ex [TREX] collection on Magi. One caveat is that I haven't been able to verify the collection in my Altera wallet, but since the system said that it was deployed successfully I hope that there is just simply a time delay. You can see the process down below.

Lastly, here is a bit of a backdrop to the collection. All Trans.Ex characters are unique works of digital art and are not randomly generated. They are also not made with AI.The characters are therefore more organic, since their characteristics and traits are not completely isolated from one another. More so than other NFT projects, you will get to decide what their intrinsic value is. Overall, marked features like e.g. tattoos or wearables will be rarer and "epics" or "legendaries" should be obvious to spot. However as stated above, some NFTs will have a higher rarity level than others, giving them additional attributes.
