Hello beautiful people

The latest question put forward to the Tribe, really got everyone thinking about the individual journeys that they have all been on. What makes you into the person you are today, is it all destiny or do we play a hand in shaping who we are? @tribesteemup Biweekly Question
A wise man once said, The end of education is character. We are all born with our individual unique characters, and whilst some of us do change as we grow and age, most of us go through life with that same essence, that same colour scheme that pervades our lives and decisions. It is very evident when you see even newborn babies... how they all have a personality, even at that young tender age.. and often times when you look back at your grown up child you can easily see those traits manifested in adult form.
TSU - Biweekly Quest - What makes you into the Person you are today; it is all Destiny or do we play a hand in shaping who we are?
Have you ever noticed if we have a failure in life, a set back in life, difficult phase in life then we always say this "Oh it is meant to be in my DESTINY what can be done. When things do not go right it is always the Destiny or God who is messing around with our life. But at the same time when things go perfectly well, we make statements like; It is my Hard work, Will-Power, Determination that got me here. So funny right?
DESTINY The so called Easy target for all our actions.
Well I do not say that I do not believe in Destiny. I believe some major life events are as per our Destiny where as there are many things that happen in Life with our FREE WILL also.
What makes you into the person you are today, is it all destiny or do we play a hand in shaping who we are? TribeSteemUp BiWeekly Question!
When we are born I believe we are all destined for greatness, yet how we live our lives determines whether or not we fulfill our destiny. We are all born with huge potential, we are born beings of love. I have seen it with my 3 girls, when they entered the world and began exploring the world, that they were born into. They radiate so much love and trust and are so connected, listening to themselves for guidance, fully connected with their intuitive self.
It seems that the actions of others, may play a part in shaping who we are, especially when we are young and it comes to how we learn to cope with different experiences in life. But then are we not destined to be in those situations.
Fate Or Free Will: Who Am I Really?
Sandor Clegane: You’ve changed Little Bird... Heard you were broken in rough.
Sansa Stark: Without Littlefinger and Ramsay and the rest, I would’ve stayed a little bird all my life.
— “The Last of the Starks”, Game of Thrones, S08E04.
Whilst many folks were upset (and they do have a point) at what could be the excusing away of abuse, many others saw this as a strong woman owning her experiences — horrific as they were — and acknowledging the role they played in bringing her to the present moment.
I’m not going to say that everyone agrees with this point of view; in fact I can easily agree with the contrary opinion that many people I know — men and women — hold.
On the other hand, I feel this is completely true for my experiences in life. The person I am right at this very moment owes his gratitude to the choices I’ve made in the past and the experiences I’ve had due to those choices.

What makes you into the person you are today, is it all destiny or do we play a hand in shaping who we are?
At first glance, this question seemed to address the old Nature versus Nurture dichotomy. At a closer look, however, I realized that it's much deeper than that. Are We the Product of Destiny or Our Own Work? Though I could not offer a definite answer, this topic is certainly worth a bit of pondering.
What is Destiny?
Is it the sum of all outside forces shaping the path we walk on? In that case, it should include everything, from our genetic code, to the parenting approaches of our parents, the kids who ended up in our first class with us, down to the weather on our fourteenth birthday. The more you think about it, the more independent factors you'll notice that had an effect on you, one way or the other. What can be even more shocking, is that the great majority of these factors is completely random, that is, following no apparent plan or great order.
Doing The Stars: Fate, Free Will & Being Joyful with What Is (Response to TSU QOTW)
If you were a teenager in the '80's chances are the following song was in the background of your life. It still stirs me now, many years later, even if only hear it every few years. The plaintive cry of a man betrayed by a woman who left him for her own dreams despite his declared love, and the idea that this was fate - a loaded dice - made it just as tragic as the lovers in Shakespeare's tragedy - as if the young lovers had lived, the stars would have chosen an equally tragic fate for them, despite their best intentions.
This cover is a really beautiful version of the Dire Straits song, performed by Lisa Mitchell - play it whilst you read my musing on the Tribe Steem Up QOTW, if you fancy. Her voice is lovely.
Do Our Experiences Shape Us or do We Shape Ourselves?
When I look back on my past, there are many things I could resent. I could blame people and events for the bad things that have happened in my life and take no responsibility for anything else that might happen. After all, this person or that event has already ruined my life, have they not?
Every experience, good or bad, impacts your life and that's a given. How it impacts your life is more up to you, however. Negative experiences happen to us all. Some people will take that negative and add to it, growing more and more resentful and bitter. Others will acknowledge it, then draw positive outcomes from it.
What shapes us into who we are today? [@tribesteemup bi-weekly question]
The concept of self is a very complex idea that involves many factors which lend a hand to development.
According to different socialization theories, the entire self is derived from interacting with other people. While others, like some Christians, believe destiny, or predestination, is what fundamentally builds our lives and experiences. However, since I do not believe we have true agency, or free-will, but rather an illusion of such, the waters which shape us become very murky.

What Shapes Our Lives - My Response to TribeSteemup's Bi-weekly Question...
I believe the effect of Kamma (Karma in Sanskrit) has a lot to do with the unfolding of your life.
With this in mind, also knowing that we create our Karma, that certain actions will bring about certain resultants, and adding to it the impermanence of life and the human condition of attachment to this life, I can see that we do have a great deal to do with shaping our lives.
If we have a positive and compassionate outlook of life, cultivate good karma, and work towards improving the spiritual quality of life, we will find more happiness in our life. If we live a happy and full life when it comes to an end, to the point that of death where we seek out attachment to a new body and new life. it's that knowing how to live well, be in an awakened state - for me that means having a loving attitude, being responsible and compassionate with no regrets
"What makes you into the person you are today?" - TribeSteemUp Bi-Weekly Question
Wooo, this is a big one... What made me into who I am today? There are so many levels & and so many different facets of what made me into me... genetics, being born under the rule of the American Empire, young parents, the stories I read, the places we lived (we moved a lot), 13 years of government indoctrination camps, living much of my life in the fictional world of books & games, psychedelics, and so much more.
Of course, the second part of the question is more about determinism vs. free will, something that I have written/spoken about extensively in my time on STEEM. The idea that either everything is set in stone before we are even born, or that we have the absolute freedom to do anything that we want, anytime, both seem rather foolish to me, so let's look at that briefly before going into some of what I see as the most important influences in my story.
