Welcome to another beautiful day humans!
For some today is a day of celebration (usually by an excess of dead animal, drinking an excess of alcohol, and by lighting off small explosives)... For most it is a day that just passes like any other. For many non-humans living as "pets" (and extra-sensitive humans like myself) in cities occupied by the United States, Inc. this is a day of extreme auditory trauma.
If there is one thing that the religion of Americanism is great at, it's maintaining its own bullshit mythology. Today, a few Tribe Members took shots at this particular holy day... followed by a few more light-hearted & creative posts :-)

Independence Day is About Worshiping the Nation State, Not Freedom by @SterlinLuxan
Sure, a symbol called “America” broke off from a symbol called “Great Britain,” but in the end, no human being was freed from anything. Allegedly, people where supposed to be given more freedom, but all they got was more servitude.
Nowadays, the nation state called America is an evil enterprise. Politicians enslave the people with a myriad of incomprehensible laws while ordering soldiers to arbitrarily murder people overseas. It’s a disgusting dance of depredation and damnation, and people celebrate it with great pomp and circumstance.
Indigenous Erasure on the 4th of July: Prayer for a Common Memory by @MountainJewel
This country wasn't empty when people came here. It wasn't the New World. It was inhabited with a diverse array of tribes who were completely not savages in need of saving, but highly organized self-governing autonomous communities with complex trade, governance systems, medicine and ritual.
Ruining Your Picnic (July 4th) by @LarkenRose
Once again, “Independence Day” is here, and once again I feel obligated to rain on everyone’s parade by pointing out the hypocrisy and patheticness of all the celebrations going on across the country today. July 4th is now no more than a day when tens of millions of caged animals cheer for the ones who caged them, and brag about how awesome their cage is.
Breaking Down 4 Major American Myths... Happy 4th of July 'Murrica! by @KennysKitchen
The Declaration of Indepenence was actually drafted on July 2nd, a revision was made on July 4th, the document was read aloud on July 8th, and finally signed until August 2nd. This one isn't such a big lie as some of the others coming up, but it does go a little ways towards showing just how little people care for the facts when it comes to the religion of Americanism.
Independence Day Reminder by @LeslieStarrOhara
So on this 242nd annual commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we should all take a moment to appreciate the fact that we are a free people who are never subjected to the tyrannies of an overgrown state.
Heh. Heh. Heh.
New Way to Celebrate 4th of July by @LoveNFreedom
Every time we go to those fireworks stands and ask how much one cost, it was just too expensive it wasn't justifiable to buy one. We'll buy food instead. Or buy plants for the homestead or save it for solar panels.
Interdependence Day 2018 in Seco by @IndigoOcean
“Interdependence is a far more mature, more advanced concept. If I am physically interdependent, I am self-reliant and capable, but I also realize that you and I working together can accomplish far more than, even at my best, I could accomplish alone. If I am emotionally interdependent, I derive a great sense of worth within myself, but I also recognize the need for love, for giving, and for receiving love from others. If I am intellectually interdependent, I realize that I need the best thinking of other people to join with my own..."
