When I started watching this movie I wasn't even sure I was going to see it until the end, since its IMDB rating is a very low 4.2 out of 10. When the movie ended, I was quite surprised at this low score. It makes no sense whatsoever to me... 🤔
The movie is not a complex one, nor difficult to watch. It's a love story between two girls - Karole and Ali - who are trying to have a baby together. The girls live in an apartment and they share it with the ex-boyfriend of Ali. This leads to some funny and awkward situations, since Karole is not very happy with that arrangement and she's definitely not happy that Karole keeps giving all the money they got to her ex-boyfriend. 😏
The story is intertwined with the dreams and flashbacks of Karole, as the director takes us on a trip to her past... there's also a scene where Karole makes a quick visit to the village where she grown and spends some time with her parents and grandparents.
The two girls decide to list their apartment on AirBnB, in order to pay the expenses related to her dream of having a baby, and receive some strange guests - which adds some more extra humour to the film.
For a movie with such a simple plot... it's quite a charming and funny one.

The movie is in Italian and English and you will need English subs for the Italian spoken parts... and a very good ear for the English spoken parts because the girls' English skills are, to say the least, sub-par. 🤭
The main characters, Karole and Ali, are played by Linda Caridi and Maria Roveran. They both deliver a good performance but Linda Caridi stands out more, at least in my opinion.
The rest of the cast play smaller roles and their performances are too short to judge them as actors.
For a low budget movie, they travel a lot - from city to the countryside - from Italy to Spain.** The scenery is a great one, with fabulous, beautiful landscapes and cityscapes.
The storytelling is easy to follow and with lots of funny moments.
All things considered, I think it's a funny little Comedy with lots of Romantic moments. There are no twists or complex stories to follow, so it's one of those movies you can pick up when you're tired and want to have a good time without having to think too much. 😊
The only reason I find for the low IMDB score... is that the few people who have seen it (around 60) are probably a little bit homophobic. Unless you hate gay couples, there's no reason to call this a bad movie, at all...
I rate it with an 8 out of 10.
