Those who have following me should have guessed which bands I would pick for this one. 😁
Here is my entry for 
- 2 Bands starting with the letter L, my choices are two of my current obsessions:
1) LaScala
Style: Rock / Alternative Rock / Fusion
Country: Russia
Led by the incredibly beautiful Аня Грин (Anya Green), this is one of the most underrated Alternative Rock bands in the whole universe.
Even though their main style is Alternative Rock, this little known gem from Russia cannot be defined with a single label. They have songs where they have influences from lots of different styles, including Hip-Hop and even... Tango! 😲
The song Виновна (Guilty) is a perfect example of that. In this live performance, they deliver **a fusion between Rock and Hip-Hop / Rap, with the collaboration of Игорь «Кэш» Лобанов (Igor "Cash" Lobanov), who is the front man for the band Слот (Slot), also from Moscow, Russia.
The voices of Аня Грин and Кэш fit really well in this track... and the crowd loved it. 😊
... and here's a completely different song, a beautiful ballad where the sweet voice of Аня Грин really stands out. The track is called Реванш (Revenge) and the videoclip is as beautiful as the song.
If you're like me, you're addicted to her voice by now... so here's a final song for you, where Аня Грин plays live, in a slow but extremely catchy tune, accompanied by nothing more than an acoustic guitar. This one is entitled Компас (Compass):
2) Louna
Style: Rock / Alternative Rock
Country: Russia
Here's another Alternative Rock band from Russia. This one is very well known in Estearn Europe and their concerts attract huge crowds of fans. I know... because I was at one of those concerts myself! I saw it with my own eyes: a complete madness! 🤪
This band is led by Лусинэ Геворкян (Lousine Gevorkian) and was formed while she was still the lead singer for Трактор боулинг (Tracktor Bowling) and she juggled between the two bands for some time, writing new songs and performing live shows with both! 🤯
The new band, Louna, focuses on criticizing the Russian political elites, capitalism, war and religion. And no, they aren't banned from playing in Russia. At least, not yet... In fact, their concerts are always sold out, in every single Russian town they go.
It's very difficult to single out only one track. My first pick will go to the the song Огня (Fire) which was recorded live at the concert I went to. So, yeah, I am in there somewhere... among that huge crowd! 😊
My next pick is to complete the circle, so to speak, as this song is a live performance with the participation from Владимир Андреевич Котляров (Vladimir Andreevich Kotlyarov) from the band Порнофильмы (Porn Movies)... and, exactly like the first song from this post, it is a mix between Rock and Hip-Hop / Rap.
It is called Весна (Spring):
