Clocota Fall, the waterfall whose water never freezes
Hello dear travellers everywhere,
Own only what you can always carry with you: known languages, known countries, known people. Let your memory be your travel bag. Alexandr Solzhenitsyn.
As I wrote in my last post here in the community, today we will go together to visit one of the most interesting waterfalls in Hunedoara county, *Clocota waterfall *(waterfall whose water never freezes), I must admit that besides my passion for historical places I also have another passion for waterfalls (I am very glad that here in the community I have seen some posts with amazing waterfalls, which I would like to visit one day).
Roman Baths - The gateway to Roman opulence in Geoagiu-Bai, Hunedoara county - Here you can see the first part.
In a short summary I will tell you that last weekend on Sunday we decided to visit Geoagiu-Bai resort in Hunedoara county, here we visited two objectives, the first was Roman Baths (an absolutely fantastic place) and the second objective is Clocota Waterfall, I could not group them in one post because there is a lot of information and there are many pictures and I did not want to bore the visitors of the post.
Where is it located?
Clocota waterfall is in Goagiu-Bai resort, it is located in a hilly area and there is no paved road, but to get there you can go on Taberei street following the signs to the waterfall, after the asphalt is finished there are about 300m on a paved road through a very beautiful area (we got here).
Following the asphalt road and then the paved road at one point we hear the specific noise of a waterfall and after a few more steps we come across a spectacular monument of nature, although it was a Sunday I expected there to be more people here, the waterfall actually hypnotized me and I got closer to it and I watched and listened for a few minutes, then we started the photo shoot, here it was a little difficult as we had to wait long enough not to take pictures of other tourists, we wanted to have pictures only of us and the waterfall.
Now that I've seen the waterfall in early autumn I wonder what it looks like in winter, when the trees are covered in snow and steam rises above the water due to the temperature difference and icicles forms, I think I'll visit this place in winter too.
From what I documented the waterfall is formed by several springs (16 springs) with thermal water this would imply that the water must be warm, I couldn't help myself and I walked up close to the waterfall and tried to see how warm the water is, surprise the water was very cold, I don't know what the explanation is.
Be careful if you venture near the waterfall to capture spectacular photos to keep in mind that the rocks covered in some places with vegetation are very slippery.
After your photo shoot you can enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls sitting on one of the benches set up there, imagine sitting on a bench closing your eyes and just hearing the sound of the waterfalls, this can be a beautiful experience.
We slowly make our way to where we left the car on the way home.
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.
