I'm listening to this Brian Armstrong interview right now. He's the CEO of Coinbase and he talks about a lot of interesting ideas in this Bloomberg piece.
The following embed is synced to the short segment where Armstrong was talking about use cases for Cryptos.
He said that one was user generated content sites and he talked about a button that was like an upvote or a like but instead transmitted small amounts of currency to the author.
He called it this "universal currency of the internet"...
It's pretty interesting. I only know of 1 website other than Steem and its apps (Steemit, D.tube, DLive, etc.) that has an interface and structural design similar to what Armstrong is talking about and that is a site that has almost no usage.
Coinbase also mentioned Steem earlier this month on their "cryptos under review" tweet. So it's definitely possible that it's on Armstrong's personal radar as well.
I really feel like he's talking about Steem here... Call me crazy.
P.S. a few minutes later someone asks him if there are any coins he's excited about in terms of usage and he referred back to the list and said there were some on there that he was excited about!
Do you feel like he's talking about Steem?
Do you know of any other sites that offer anything remotely fitting that description other than Steem?
How far off is the idea that Coinbase will list Steem in the near future (especially considering its stability and usability comparative to the other cryptos on Coinbase's upcoming list)?
