The wonderful tagged me in The Creative Blogger Tag Challenge, a challenge that I was not actual aware of. I have a short window, in which I am active on Hive and because of that I tend to miss out on a lot of posts. I do try and check up on some of the people I follow, but lately I have even less time, as I am preparing to move.
The Challenge, was first created in October by
Lets start with the Oligatory questions,
1. How do I,add value to Hive?
I am not really one to blow my own trumpet, selling myself has never really been a strong point of mine, but you know, it is an important exercise, as we should really take the time to value ourselves more.
I like to think, that the content that I create adds value to the platform, lending my voice to quite a diverse range of topics. It is so important that we speak our truth and although sometimes others do not agree, it is important that we share it.
I am an active part of several communities (okay maybe not so much of late, but I will be once again), and there are a few of those communities, that I have curated for, both in the past and continue to do so presently.
Engagement is super important as well. I do try and reach out to newcomers when i come across their posts, commenting to me, is as important as posting my own content and I know how it feels when someone reaches out to you because of what you have posted. Suddenly the world does not seem so big after all. I have tried to get other people involved in the platform, but so far only one person has. So on to my next question, which really just flows on from this one.
2.How would you make Hive a better place?
I love the community on this platform and it really has supported me in so many ways, since I became a member over 4 years ago. As I said above engagement is so important, and once I am settled into my new place, I plan on engaging a lot more with others, especially newcomers.
I also plan on helping out a lot more with the wonderful
I will also continue to encourage more people to get involved in the platform, I have certainly had people express some interest, but their lives are so busy that they have yet to follow up on that.
I also have a few ideas for challenges that I would like to get off the ground as well, I like to try and post daily, so having challenges to help keep you inspired and motivated is very important.
Now that I have answered those two questions, I will move onto the five questions that has asked.
1. How does a typical day look like for you? From the time you get out of bed until it's time to go to bed.
I always have the best intentions when I wake up, to give myself a few minutes to myself so that i can do some stretches. But it never happens, I get up, walk out of my truck and let my barefeet touch the earth. Usually when I come back into the truck my girls are awake, or at least one of them and I get to making breakfast. After that, it really depends on the day, yesterday I went to town to do some things, this morning i was cutting back my pepper plants and transplanting them into pots, so that i can take them with me when I move. Then I went and dug up some young Kale plants, some Aloe and some Calendula, all to take with me. A really good friend of mine, has just returned from Greece in her van and her dog had puppies, there are 5 left, so I spend some time with them. Then it was time to cook lunch for me and my girls. Do some art with my youngest, get my two eldest ready to go to their meet up and then it's time to clean up more on land. Some handwashing and then it's time for dinner. After dinner we tend to read or maybe watch something and I usually go online when the girls start to unwind for the night. I visit posting when they are asleep. Each day is so different really, I am not a routine person at all.
2. What is one thing you really like about yourself?
Okay, hmmmm this one I had to think about. I think it would have to me my positive outlook on life, the fact that I can still see the light, even when we are immersed in darkness. I know that this is because i have a strong connection with nature and as I wrote yesterday it has instilled in me an inner calmness that has served me well down through the years.
3.How would your dream life look like? Or are you already living your dream life? Or do you feel that's not a good question to ask because you create your (dream) life every day?
I am living my dream life, for sure there are things that could make my life easier, but then that would also change the way I live. I have stepped into my role as creator and I am actively creating the world I wish to live in. I have no problems writing or speaking about this, because our words hold power, the power to manifest.
4. Name one person you admire and why. It could be someone you know or a famous person.
That would have to be my friend Daisy, she has continued to stand in her truth, even when people around her have put her down. She is a true warrior and I admire her greatly. I think many of us have lost friendships over these last few months, but I think she has more than most.
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? (I'm interested 🙂).
Well that depends on the season. In the Spring and Summer I am all about smoothies and Juices. I love green smoothies and juices the most. Kale is something I always have growing in my garden and that is the one staple, as well as fresh lemons from the land. Right now as the temperature has dropped, I have porridge, topped with my seed mix, maca, coconut oil, beetroot syrup and sometimes carob.
