Freedom For Birth

I know that this subject has been discussed already and was so beautifully shared by Hive account@crosheille. But it is a subject that needs to be retold and shared. So many women today are not aware of their birth rights whilst others are forced to birth how the professionals see fit. Obstetrics is the wealthiest and largest funded health profession. It seems having babies especially in the western world is a money making business.

An amazing documentary called Freedom For Birth highlights all of this and so much more, even just watching the trailer gives so much information, but also introduces some amazing women and their wisdom.

I have such huge respect for women like Ágnes Geréb, who was arrested and send to prison for helping mothers have the birth they wanted. Women are sometimes forced by judges to have surgery to have their babies,instead of the normal delivery they desire and if they refuse they threaten to have the babies taken away by social services. Please watch this, share it and continue to educate ourselves on our human rights. Protecting our families and our humanity starts at birth.
