These
Moments
Melting moments,
Heat intensifies,
Words cripple,
And still they deny the truth,
Sitting comfortably
with their lies.
Disguise,
Masked,
Unable to breathe,
Suffocated by the weight,
The heaviness
of their disgrace.
Seconds,
Fall away,
Minutes dissolve,
And amongst it all,
They lose their reserve.
The sound of their screams,
Fall on deaf ears.
Hearing the silence
Within their pain,
They find the strength to incite change.
The veil rises.
The spirit prevails.
Fists,
Gently unfurl,
Transforming their
Rage,
A step,
towards rememberance,
For we are one
and the same.
